Suzuki Alto
After long doubting whether the new Suzuki Alto can replace Mehran in sales, Alto finally has its elements. Since the beginning of this year, PSMC has been mass-producing small hatchbacks and has shown no signs of slowing down in the past few months.
In March 2021, PSMC’s Alto sales reached 4,745 units, a significant year-on-year increase of 436.8% and an increase of 11.8% from the previous month, making it the number one vehicle in Pakistan. For the third consecutive month since the New Year.
Toyota Yaris
Although the response of the Yaris after its launch in Pakistan has been mixed, it has been a best-selling product in the Pakistani market for a long time, and it has surpassed Honda City and Civic for several months. This is a very remarkable feat.
In March 2021, Toyota IMC Yaris sold 3,317 units, an increase of 29.3% from the previous month, making it the second-selling model that month.
Toyota Corolla
Although only targeting the upper socioeconomic class in Pakistan, the Toyota Corolla is still the top five cars sold here, mainly because of its outstanding reliability, ease of ownership and maintenance, and excellent resale value.
Toyota IMC sold 2,126 Corollas in March 2021, a year-on-year increase of 1.8%, and sales increased by 80.6% from the previous month, making it the third-selling car that month.
Suzuki Cultus
Around the end of 2020, PSMC struggled to keep up with the market’s growing demand for Cultus due to production-related issues, which also caused the company to suffer significant losses at that time. Now PSMC’s production plant has begun shooting full cylinders, and the sales of this car are considerable.
In March 2021, PSMC sold 1,637 Cultus, a year-on-year increase of 130.6% and a month-on-month increase of 10.3%, making it the fourth-largest best-selling car in Pakistan that month.
Suzuki wagon R
Given the popularity of Wagon R in Pakistan today, it is surprising that it ranks very low in the world rankings. However, Wagon R’s sales were 1,259 units, compared to 310 units last year, an increase of 54.7% year-on-year and a staggering 306.1% year-on-year growth. These amazing numbers make it the top five best sellers in March 2021.
